Reverse Parking Restrictions in Consett

Consett Liberal Democrats are calling on the landowners of car parks at Tesco's and Morrison's to reverse their recent changes to parking.

The car parks now restrict how many times per day Consett residents can visit the shops.

Kathryn Rooney, Liberal Democrat councillor for Consett North, said: “The car park owners should be supporting the local community, rather than threatening massive fines if someone pops back for something they'd forgotten."

"Please sign our petition for the car park owners to reconsider," Kathryn asked local residents.
