Lib Dem campaigner Carol Woods joined local activists in Durham today to collect signatures for the Power 2010 campaign to clean up politics.
Carol supports the campaign, which calls for a fairer voting system and to scrap Labour's ineffective and expensive national ID card scheme.
Carol said, "We must restore faith in politics and we can only do that if everyone's vote counts. The Lib Dems are the only party committed to a fair voting system.
"Local people want to see real change. The Lib Dems would do this by scrapping ID cards and getting more police on our streets.
"This is why I was out speaking with local people in Durham today to see what changes they want to see."
